Who's Gee?

Guitar Nut and Lifelong Musician

Gee is Geoff Hansplant, a confessed guitar nut, who has been playing now for just shy of fifty years, in every milieu from Country Blues, to Irish Fiddle tunes, to Roots Rock, Psychedelia and Progressive.  These days, he is more often working out an old jazz standard.  With his band, Dirt Track Racer, Geoff explores all of these styles (and a couple more) in a     hybrid kind of Americana that landed the band's first album, "Kick Off Your Muddy Boots," at number four on the American Roots charts, with a single that spent two weeks at number two.  Geoff is also trained in finish carpentry and has, in recent years combined these two crafts in the field of repair and restoration of fretted musical instruments.  He maintains an On-Line musical instrument store through Reverb.com and churns out demo videos for all of the guitars, basses and mandolins that he lists.
